Course 8: Business and Technical Proposals

 

Course 8 will take approximately 3 - 4 1/2 hours to complete. Course 8 adapts the basic Pyramid structure learned in Courses 1 and 2 and applies it to informal and formal proposals. Topics include:

  • Informal and semiformal proposals
  • Solicited versus unsolicited proposals
  • Single-solution versus multiple-solution proposals
  • Executive summaries to accompany a proposal
  • Comparisons of ideas, products, or solutions
  • Using language to convey a confident, knowledgeable image
  • Designing proposals for reader comprehension and retention
Pause Points throughout the course allow you to stop the course and return to the same point.

Exercises and examples will help reinforce the instruction.
